With a low-volume fit and a Dual-BOA closure system, the 2027 K2 Cortex 120 Zonal BOA ski boots are an ideal choice for advanced and expert skiers looking to make the most out of their day.

Why we like it:

At the forefront of the modern boot evolution platform, the K2 Cortex 120 Zonal BOA uses a stiff flex, a narrow last, and two BOA dials for a perfect fit. We like the innovation here, as it allows skiers a one-of-a-kind fit and feel with minimal pressure points and maximum performance. The blend of 120 flex and 96 mm width takes the performance to the next level for pure and true all-mountain skiing.

Who it's for:

This Cortex 120 is for strong and capable skiers who have narrower feet. You want to be challenged out there on the hill and need a boot that is going to be supportive of your endeavors. You also really enjoy the smooth feeling of a BOA closure system to get you in the proper tightness in the boot.

Highlights:

There’s a lot of technology going on in these Cortex 120’s, from the Dual-BOA system to the 120 flex and the GripWalk soles. We also see softer TPU plastic in the instep to allow for easier entry and exit along with a dual-sided cuff alignment to fully dial in your fit. One of the cool parts of this boot is that the heat-moldable liner has SES shims on the medial side to produce more leverage over the edges and deliver more power and precision to the turns.

Things to consider:

These are stiff and narrow boots. If you’re looking for more flex or more room, there are better options. Also, if you’re still more of a buckle purist, the Dual BOA could be a big jump.
