Product Description Palmgren's 8-inch cross slide vise accurately moves the work in two directions along the X and Y axis to provide quick and accurate placements. This makes work piece positing faster, easier, and more accurate with the cross slide vise and table combination. The cross slide vise gets its strength from the 30,000 PSI tensile strength, FC25 fine grain cast iron with trapezoidal-thread lead screw construction. Feed screws are precision cut Acme threads. The dials are graduated in 0.001 inch increments for accuracy while the counter-balanced steel ball crank handles easily clear the table for efficiency and simplicity when working. Crank arm spins independently of handle for easy movement. The index collar may be set to zero position independent of handle while the fixed jaw is grooved horizontally and vertically for holding round stock. Lugs in the base are included for mounting to machine table. Handles permit smooth movement and do not extend below the base. The cross slide travel is 3-1/2 inches by 4 inches.
